The Rockaway Advocate

The Rockaway Advocate is a two-part project that gives RYTF members the opportunity to engage seriously with the media. The first part is the RYTF Blog. The online blog gives RYTF a chance to add to commentary on current events and related topics at an organizational level. The second part is a monthly newspaper written by RYTF youth with the support of RYTF staff. Both projects serve to give members and organizers a platform to dissect and share information in our community through a structured program. The program also allows RYTF youth to gain useful skills in journalism and reporting. If you are interested in learning more or writing for The Rockaway Advocate, please contact alyshajonson@rytf.org.
